Acacia [

I am tempted to characterize Acacia as a "poor man's 44 & X," but of course there is nothing "cheap" about their New American menu. I am also tempted to give Acacia's score a boost due to the fact that they actually gave me a medium-rare steak (overcooking is all too common these days; see Mediterra), but of course a medium-rare steak of mediocre quality is not much better. In the end, the only response I can commit to is "meh": the food is already but certainly not worth the price.

The A&B is probably my current "favorite" American restaurant in Princeton. Reasonably priced beer and food with no frills---all of which is more than you can say for Triumph. I am fond of the Kobe beef burger (be sure to emphasize that you want it on the rare side of medium-rare) and the nachos appetizer.

Good pizza in Princeton. I think it's worth going just to get the townie feel.

You absolutely do not visit this traditional Princeton place for the taste. But boy do they know how to make it cheap!

Greasy Chinese food. If you must eat Chinese food in Princeton then at least go to Tiger Noodle, which seems slightly better.

Olives is way over-hyped. The bread and sandwiches at are inferior to Witherspoon Bread and the sides are inferior to Bon Appetit. To top it all off, Olives is more expensive than both. Way to go!

Sahara provides good family fare: reasonable food and prices. The pistachio baklava is a must.

Teresa is one of the most confounding restaurants I've ever visited. It has most of the external intangibles I look for in a restaurant, but the entrées are largely disappointing. It has pretty good bread and pizza, but a poor wine collection. Overpriced appetizers but reasonably priced pizza. Go figure.

The good news is that this is the best Chinese restaurant in Princeton. The bad news is that I dont eat Chinese in Princeton unless a friend cooks for me (thank you, Jiayue).

Local microbrewery has decent beers but overpriced food. Recently they have also been experimenting with various fushion dishes, which lie well beyond the capabilities of their cooks.
